St Martin’s Day has become a several-year tradition at Nasze Zoo. The performance, staged on 10 November by children from Paul-Gerhardt-Haus, will tell the story of St Martin. The park will then be immersed in the atmospheric glow of lanterns brought by the children. Alongside paper moons, paper animals may also appear, brightening our park.

All interested children are invited to take part in the procession with a lantern or flashlight. The procession will end at St Martin’s bonfire, where, for a small fee, it will be possible to enjoy punch (children), mulled wine (adults), or a slice of bread with lard.

The annual organizers of St Martin’s Day at Nasze Zoo are the Friends of Nasze Zoo Association, “Freundeskreis Tierpark Görlitz e.V.”, and Paul-Gerhardt-Haus. Admission is free for guests taking part in St Martin’s Day; however, the Friends Association will be pleased to receive any donation supporting the park’s development.
