The “My Place on Earth” competition was organized by teachers Monika Grzyb, Małgorzata Oleś from Primary School No. 2. Beata Wysocka assisted with the exhibition.
The subject of the works created by the participating photographers was Bolesławiec. The competition was open to first- to third-grade students from primary schools in the city and municipality of Bolesławiec. Twenty-four photographs were selected for the post-competition exhibition. The participants’ works were assessed by a jury consisting of: Mariusz Laudański, Grzegorz Sidorowicz and Krzysztof Łukaszewicz. The jury selected three winners and awarded three distinctions. Eighteen works qualified for the post-competition exhibition. The prizes went to: Anna Filip, Jan Krupa and Karol Czarny; distinctions were awarded to: Katarzyna Mazurkiewicz, Oliwia Techmańska and Mateusz Majszczyk.
All participants received the “Bolesławiec Memory Game” and certificates, while the winners received albums about Bolesławiec. Performances by the dance group from MZS No. 3 and children from classes III a and III b of Primary School No. 2, who performed the song “This Is My Homeland”, added to the occasion. The photo exhibition at CIK “Orzeł” will run until November 12. The organizers invite everyone.
