“There is certainly reason to be pleased that we have a completely new street,” residents say. “The appearance has definitely improved. There are good roadways and parking spaces, not to mention perfectly even pavements.”
The reconstruction of Galaktyczna Street, on the section from Oś Kartuska to the exit from Piłsudskiego Avenue, included, among other things, replacing the asphalt surface with concrete paving blocks, along with replacing the road subbase, reconstructing the pavements on both sides and upgrading the lighting. A pavement was built from Oś Kartuska to the shopping centre. The car park and parking bay were modernised, providing a total of 54 spaces. Within the junction, on the section leading to the exit from Piłsudskiego Avenue, additional works were carried out in connection with the construction of a new sewer system. The investment cost approximately PLN 1.2 million gross.
Residents of Plutona Street also have reason to be satisfied. The first stage of the investment, on the section from Galaktyczna to Neptuna, has been completed. The asphalt surface was replaced with concrete paving blocks. The road subbase was also improved. Paved-block pavements were built. Of great importance to residents, the car park and parking bay were expanded to 55 spaces, including four for people with disabilities. The construction workers installed additional drainage grates and another section of installation for the Legman network. The green strips were also developed.
