The investment cost PLN 3 million. The ground floor of the building houses three doctors’ offices, two treatment rooms, an ECG room, a midwife’s office and a spacious reception area. A pharmacy belonging to the “Twoja Apteka” chain will also begin operating on the same floor. The first floor will house specialist clinics providing services both under the National Health Fund and commercially, while the second floor will be used for health and rehabilitation purposes.
The architectural design by Jarosław Hnatek refers to the form of the previous clinic building. The investor ensured that the modern interiors included references to the history of the building itself and of Karpacz. Thus, reproductions of postcards showing old Karpacz from the rich collection of Mariola and Mieczysław Pajdzik were hung on the walls of the clinic’s lobby, in preserved window frames from the old building.
During the opening, the president of Centrum Medyczne Karpacz, Marzena Burnos-Gąszczyk, and vice-president Prof. Tadeusz Latoś recounted interesting stories about the development of the first health centre in Karpacz. Karpacz Mayor Bogdan Malinowski expressed his satisfaction that Karpacz residents and tourists requiring medical assistance would be able to use medical services in a modern clinic.
The clinic officially began operating on Monday, 27 October.
