This will be a one-day rapid chess tournament in the open category, played using the Swiss system – 9 rounds of 15 minutes per player. The total prize pool is over PLN 5,000.
Prizes in all categories have been funded by the Polska Miedź Foundation. The chess players who finish in the first six places will receive prizes, as will:
- the best female player in the tournament
- the best junior
- the best player with an ELO rating below 2100 and a rating below 1800.
Thanks to the sponsors, the oldest and youngest participants, as well as the best player among PZS students, will also receive prizes. Attractive prizes will be drawn among all chess players taking part in the event.
The fourth Chess Tournament at the District School Complex for the Polish Copper Cup will be the closing event of the “Patriotism Week at PZS in Chojnów”, which has been running since 12 November.
