Ada Borek, Tomasz Marciniak and Kamil Piróg, a talented and exceptionally energetic trio of artists from Zielona Góra, together with a creator of cabaret texts and film producer, presented the show “Kingdom for a Smile, or Shakespeare with Balls” at Forum.

The satirists perfectly combined the best elements of cabaret and theatre, creating an exceptional performance that provided wonderful entertainment for even the most demanding viewer. The artists prepared their project to mark the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth. During the performance, the actor-cabaret artists skilfully involved the audience in their show, engaging them in the shared fun.

In sketches sparkling with humour, they introduced viewers to the work and figure of the great English playwright. Among other things, we learned how his greatest works, “King Lear” and “Hamlet”, were created. We saw a modernised version of the playwright’s work presented in the style of a Brazilian soap opera. We got to know Shakespeare himself, as well as those closest to him, and took a closer look at their personal relationships.
