The one-time benefit, known as the baby bonus, is available to the parents of a newborn child regardless of the family’s income or entitlement to the childbirth allowance. The baby bonus amounts to PLN 1,000. It is available to the child’s mother, father or guardian. Applications for the baby bonus can be submitted at the Municipal Social Welfare Centre starting today. Applications must be submitted within three months of the child’s birth.
