Police officers from Nowogrodziec detained two men, aged 22 and 26, who on 30 September attempted to steal parts of anti-glare screens installed along the motorway.
It turned out that one of them had previously stolen aluminium motorway components twice, which he later sold at a non-ferrous metal collection point.
At the home of the older detainee, officers found 28 aluminium profiles, each 1 metre long, originating from earlier offences. Drugs were found in the 22-year-old's apartment.
Both suspects now face up to 5 years in prison.
