The reconstruction of 230 metres of the street included replacing the damaged asphalt layer, replacing the stormwater drainage system and laying a new paving-block surface, in accordance with the design approved by the heritage conservator. Paving blocks were chosen to preserve the street’s local, residential character and give it the character of a shared pedestrian and vehicular route.
As a reminder, Strzelecka Street was damaged during last year’s heavy rainfall. This is also why funding was provided by the Ministry of Administration and Digitisation to replace the damaged and washed-away road surface.
