Zgorzelec is a beautiful city with a rich and fascinating history. It is worth learning about its past and exploring the architecture of bygone years. The photographs below show Łużycka Street, which was called Siedenberger Strasse before World War II.
A tram line ran along this street, opened in 1900 and discontinued in 1945 as a result of the change in the border. The tram line began at the City Park in Görlitz and ran across the Nysa to Ujazd, where the terminus was located.
The preserved photographs and postcards show us what our city looked like in the first half of the 20th century.
