The Film Academy, under the slogan "An Oscar-Worthy Final Exam," begins on Saturday, 11 February, at noon. During the monthly meetings at the Orzeł cinema, three new releases will be presented: the cyberpunk film "Code 46," the Hungarian iconoclastic anime "The District," and the Czech road movie "Ride," telling the story of how one can become hopelessly lost in freedom. The latter two productions premiered in 2006.

Every month after the screening, a lecturer will explain how to use a film in presenting a topic during the oral final exam, how to formulate conclusions, and how to incorporate film motifs into topics integrating literature and the visual arts. The lecturer will offer practical advice on preparing for the presentation and answer questions related to the oral Polish-language final exam.

Three Film Academy sessions have been scheduled: 11 February, 11 March and 8 April. A ticket as part of the pass for three meetings costs 5 złoty per meeting, or 15 złoty in total. A ticket for one meeting costs 8 złoty. The first lecturer will be Małgorzata Juda-Mieloch, a doctor of humanities who, among other things, prepares young people for final, lower-secondary-school and university entrance examinations.
