The following people took part in creating the wreath: Janina Kus, Helena Karaban, Ewa Sondaj, Ewelina Karaban, Lidia Karaban, Barbara Omiatacz, Stefania Zgodzińska, Małgorzata Karaban, Zdzisław Piwowarski, Katarzyna Pielichata, Krzysztof Pielichaty, Barbara Jakieła, Krzysztof Jakieła, Bożena Długosz and Julia Długosz. The wreath from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship took first place. Second and third place went to wreaths from the Greater Poland and Lublin voivodeships. Representatives of all 16 voivodeships took part in the competition.

The wreath group was accompanied by mayor Andrzej Dutkowski and members of the “Ziemi Bolesławieckiej” Song and Dance Ensemble. For our wreath group, this was the first visit to the Presidential Harvest Festival.

The competition between the wreath groups involved more than just evaluating the wreath. The group’s presentation and singing about the wreath were also judged. The wreath from Ocice was shaped like a crown. The women held beautiful sunflower bouquets. The “Ziemi Bolesławieckiej” Song and Dance Ensemble performed the singing about the wreath.

The committee evaluating the wreaths, which traditionally includes Anna Komorowska, was surprised by the ensemble members’ performance, and they drew the jury into a group dance. The First Lady herself joined in the festivities; after the results were announced, she approached the group, spoke with its members and posed for a commemorative photograph. The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina also spent considerable time with the group, together with his wife and children.
