Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, working with police officers from Bogatynia, arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of burglary, and then a 28-year-old accomplice of the arrested man fell into their hands.
The officers established that both suspects had three car thefts to their names. All the crimes took place in Bolesławiec County.
The police recovered one of the stolen cars. It was handed over to its owner.
Actions aimed at recovering the remaining cars are ongoing. The case is developing. Both arrested men had previously been convicted. They now face up to 10 years in prison.
