Several days ago, officers attempted to stop a passenger car for a traffic check. Its driver ignored the officers’ signals. What is more, he accelerated sharply and fled the scene of the check. After a pursuit lasting several minutes, the driver and passenger stopped and, leaving the car open on one of Legnica’s streets, began to flee on foot.
The items that the officers found in the car enabled them to establish the identities of the fugitives. What is more, it emerged that one of them had committed a series of burglaries and thefts in the city. He robbed basements, balconies, stairwells, cars and kiosks. He had been carrying out his activities since December of last year.
Police recovered some of the stolen property. The 36-year-old resident of Legnica had previously been in conflict with the law; he had been arrested for possession of drugs. The man was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
