Officers from the police station in Chojnów caught three men red-handed as they broke into a store in the village of Groble. The incident took place during the night of September 10–11. The store’s owner notified the officers about the crime.
When the patrol arrived at the scene, the officers saw flashlight light through a hole broken into the wall. After entering the building, they found one of the perpetrators. The 43-year-old man had hidden... in a freezer. He had a backpack containing, among other things, a crowbar, a hammer, pliers, and items stolen from the store: lighters, batteries, tablets and food products.
His accomplices—two 34-year-olds—were waiting for him in a car parked nearby. All three are residents of the neighboring county.
The suspects were taken into police custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
