The harvest festival celebrations began with a Mass at the parish church in Łagów, presided over by Rev. Józef Lisowski, chancellor of the Legnica Curia. The harvest festival guests, beautifully dressed and taking part in a colorful procession, walked to the Łagów sports stadium. There, the hosts ceremonially began the harvest festival proceedings and a time of great entertainment.
In favorable weather and high spirits, participants in this colorful event enjoyed performances by the Hanka folk ensemble from Kąty Wrocławskie, knightly combat demonstrations, the Polish Beatles and the well-known Greek group Orfeusz. Visitors could also explore a mobile planetarium or try their hand at the laser shooting range.
Powiat Zgorzelecki was represented at the harvest festival by the Zgorzelec county head Artur Bieliński, chairman of the Zgorzelec County Council Stanisław Żuk and deputy county head Mariusz Tureniec.
Moreover, the harvest festival was an opportunity to present numerous decorations and to jointly summarize the year in Gmina Zgorzelec, not only the past one.
