Witelona and Skarbka streets have been reconstructed along their entire length, from the intersection with Jaworzyńska Street to Wilson Square. The road surfaces have been replaced, allowing us to travel smoothly and safely.
There is also good news for public transport passengers. The bus bay on Skarbka Street was expanded on the southern side, from Mickiewicza Street. Another bus bay on Witelona Street, next to the former medical school, was modernized. The no-longer-operational stop on Witelona Street, on the side of Orła Białego Avenue, was removed. A lawn was created in its place.
As part of this investment, energy-absorbing barriers were installed on the median separating the carriageways, telecommunications conduits were laid, and utility access chambers, gas boxes, water supply boxes and others were regulated. An additional independent traffic lane for vehicles turning left into Mickiewicza Street was also built. It was created from the cut-back shoulder along the section from the State Fire Service headquarters to the underpass. A sidewalk will also be laid along this section. Further sidewalks are being built between the pedestrian footbridge and Młynarska Street, as well as from the stop, on the side of the Economic Schools Complex, to Jaworzyńska Street. The total cost of the investment is approximately PLN 3.2 million
