On Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m., the big “Children of Legnica” concert, held under the patronage of President Tadeusz Krzakowski, will begin on the stage in the Market Square. We will see as many as sixteen performances: from pop stars and classical musicians to folk ensembles and dance and movement groups. Legnica has never seen an undertaking like this before.

“We really have something to be proud of. Contrary to the pessimists who believe that nothing happens in Legnica, let me remind you that our city is the birthplace of such popular actors as Tomasz Kot, Janusz Chabior and Przemek Bluszcz, as well as renowned journalists Beata Tadla and Magda Mołek. During the ‘Children of Legnica’ concert, those who are already well known and those who are just starting out will share one stage. They will present such diverse fields that everyone is sure to find something for themselves. You simply have to see it. We can truly be proud of the artists our city has,” says Grzegorz Szczepaniak, director of the Legnica Culture Centre.
