Police officers from Chojnów received information on August 31 about a break-in at a grocery store. The perpetrator forced open the security fixture on the display window, entered the premises and stole food products and money. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 1,400.
A patrol noticed a young man sitting in a car. When he saw the uniformed officers, the 17-year-old suddenly ran away. It turned out that the stolen property was inside the vehicle. The man—a 17-year-old resident of Chojnów—was arrested.
The teenager now faces up to 10 years in prison.
