The reason was the need to replace three street lamps belonging to the Energy Company. They had already been weakened by age. One of them could even have fallen over.
After an inspection carried out on Wednesday, 27 August, specialists from the Energy Company decided that the street lighting needed to be replaced very quickly. They began the work this morning, closing the entire carriageway of Bankowa Street to traffic. Disruptions may continue until Friday, 29 August.
