Officers from Jelenia Góra arrested a 42-year-old man who broke into a Volkswagen on June 5 this year. The man forced the lock open with a screwdriver and then stole items left inside, including documents, clothing, bedding, a computer and other personal belongings.
The victim estimated her losses at approximately PLN 2,500. Police recovered some of the stolen property.
The 42-year-old confessed to the crime. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
