Legnica entered an attractive investment site on Jaworzyńska Street, adjacent to the eastern surroundings of the Sienkiewicza housing estate, in the competition.
On Tuesday, 26 August this year, an audit of the site submitted by the city was carried out. Representatives of the competition’s organizers met at the Town Hall with Deputy Mayor Jadwiga Zienkiewicz and her colleagues. The inspectors viewed a presentation of the municipality’s investment sites, including the submitted plot, and asked detailed questions about Legnica’s potential. They also inspected the site entered in the competition directly.
It covers more than 10 hectares. Its location is highly attractive in terms of transport, near the western bypass, the A4 motorway and the S3 expressway. Reputable companies from the Legnica Special Economic Zone operate nearby.
The “Land for a Medal” competition aims to promote sites prepared for manufacturing investments. The winners will have an opportunity to promote their municipality as the best location for investment. The distinguished plots will be recommended to foreign investors as a priority.
A total of 136 municipalities took part in this year’s edition. Eighty-three qualified for the second stage. The winners will be announced by the end of October.
