– I walk this way every day – says Legnica resident Jerzy Połczyński. – This pavement is convenient and attractive. You can see that it was made from good-quality materials.
The pavement is more than 80 metres long. Because this part of the city is located in a strict heritage conservation zone, the pedestrian route had to be built using stone materials. Previously, it was surfaced with concrete slabs, which had deteriorated.
As part of this investment, an underground section of the sewer system for the Legman network was built, and the kerbs along the road were also levelled. The school entrance was likewise constructed from paving blocks. The green areas were levelled and protected with metal posts to prevent cars from driving onto them.
Let us recall that in last year’s vote, residents selected two projects for this part of the city: rebuilding the pavement on Senatorska Street and constructing a playground on Środkowa Street. The latter was completed as early as July.
