Officers from Jelenia Góra and Karpacz detained two men, aged 19 and 25. Both are suspected of breaking into one of the houses in Karpacz and stealing property. The incident occurred at night, when the owners were away. The thieves stole property worth nearly PLN 50,000, including laptops, game consoles, a television, glasses, cash and other valuable items.
The perpetrators hid in an apartment they had rented in Wrocław. They were detained there, and officers also recovered some of the stolen property there. More stolen items were found in the basement of one of the buildings in Karpacz.
The suspects were taken into police custody. They confessed to the crime. They now face up to 10 years in prison.
