A man—already for the second time this month (the first “feat” took place on August 2; the man was spotted after 4:00 p.m. at the very top of the structure; a police negotiator was called at the time, and after nearly four hours the desperate man was persuaded to climb down)—climbed onto the Millennium Cross. A spokesperson for the Bolesławiec police confirmed that it was the same person.
Negotiations are under way to persuade the desperate man to climb down from the structure.
Two fire service units are taking part in the operation. Unfortunately, a group of onlookers also gathered.
Update: August 22, 2014, 10:09 p.m.
The desperate man climbed down from the cross.
