A virtual tour is essentially a series of connected digital panoramas that allow reality—rooms, buildings together with their surroundings, and interesting spaces—to be reproduced in a fully realistic way. Internet users can move freely through the photorealistic virtual space, view objects and items, and obtain information about them. A system of markers, such as a map with points plotted on it, indicates the current location, so users always know where they are and can easily reach their destination. The illusion of being directly present in the surrounding space makes a truly great impression.

Until now, internet users exploring Legnica could use only computer monitors. Recently, a version for mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, was launched. The virtual tour of Legnica has been expanded by 40 new panoramas. The existing set of tourist attractions now includes, among others, Piast Castle, the cathedral, St. John’s Church, City Park and the skatepark. Night photographs and 3D panoramas have also been added.

In addition to the attractions listed above, the virtual routes will take us, for example, to Legnica’s Market Square, the Piast Mausoleum, Powstańców Wielkopolskich Square beneath the monument to John Paul II, Słowiański Square, Najświętszej Marii Panny Street, St. Mary’s Church, the historic Town Hall, Galeria Piastów, Kozi Staw, the palm house and the Municipal Stadium named after the White Eagle.

The virtual tour of Legnica comes with another new feature: a city game based on collecting puzzle pieces and assembling them into various views of the city. The holidays are coming to an end, but a tourist virtual trip to beautiful Legnica is possible at any time.
