Officers detained a 43-year-old resident of Wałbrzych suspected of a series of burglaries in cellars in Jelenia Góra. Investigators established that the man travelled from Wałbrzych by train or bus solely to rob cellars. His targets were branded bicycles, which he later sold mainly at pawnshops.

Police are currently determining all the circumstances of the case. It is worth noting that the resident of Wałbrzych also carried out his activities in Świdnica and Wrocław. What is more, it turned out that he also had a sentence of one year and seven months in prison to serve, also for offences against property.

The 43-year-old was placed in police custody. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
