On 8 August, an agreement was reached between two associations operating in Bolesławiec: TOP and BTS (Bolesławiec Volleyball Association). We have written about the forthcoming agreement several times in our newspaper, including in the article With the Messiah for Promotion to the Second League!.
Under the agreement, all young volleyball players competing in TOP teams became BTS players. This is intended to regulate men’s volleyball in Bolesławiec.
The signatories concluded that it made no sense for two competing men’s volleyball clubs to operate in a town such as Bolesławiec. For formal reasons, the cadet team will play under the name TOP BTS Bolesławiec until the end of this year. TOP will finance its training and sporting appearances.
The situation will change completely on 1 January 2015. From then on, BTS will be the only organization responsible for men’s volleyball, while girls will train at TOP.
The agreement was signed by TOP president Robert Tomczyk and BTS head Jacek Łuczkowski, accompanied by vice-president of the Bolesławiec Volleyball Association Krzysztof Mosiądz.
