Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a 19-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra suspected, among other things, of a series of break-ins at garden allotment huts. The teenager carried out his activities from June to July this year. His loot included gardening tools, cables and other metal items, which he sold at local scrap metal collection points.
Moreover, the officers established that the 19-year-old broke into one of the buildings undergoing renovation, from which he stole RTV and household appliances worth PLN 700. He is also suspected of stealing 11 lighting fixtures worth PLN 1,200.
According to the police, there are more victims, and not all of the crimes have been reported. Officers are clarifying all the circumstances of the case.
The 19-year-old confessed. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
