At the Legnica Film Academy (LAF) workshops, participants learn to produce films independently. They are led by the best animation specialists. LAF will last 10 days, from August 13 to 23. During this time, Legnica residents can attend events accompanying the workshops. Admission is free.
On Friday and Saturday (August 15 and 16) at 10:00 p.m., animated films produced, among others, by Tomasz Bagiński’s Platige Image studio will be presented at the skatepark.
For the youngest viewers, a screening of both older and contemporary films will take place over the weekend (August 16 and 17). The program will include, among others, the 1947 film “For King Krakus,” “Dinosaurs” by Witold Giersz, and films by one of the LAF lecturers, Stanisław Lenartowicz. On August 16 and 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., dubbing workshops conducted by Film Factory Studio from Warsaw will take place. The workshops will be led, among others, by Beata Kawka and Piotr Grabowski.
Forty-five people from across the country will take part in the young filmmakers’ activities, including participants from Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, Opole, Piotrków Trybunalski and other places. Under the guidance of excellent lecturers, participants will learn the art of creating animated films independently. The classes will be led, among others, by Stanisław Lenartowicz, creator of, among other things, the Polish version of “Sesame Street” and an outstanding special-effects expert, and Piotr Nawrocki, an animator from the Łódź-based SE-MA-FOR studio, involved, among other projects, in animations for “Parauszek the Bunny.” The films will be sound-designed by ZGAS, a leading Polish beatboxer.
