<p>On 9 August, officers from the Traffic Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained two men, aged 24 and 28, who were wanted to serve prison sentences for various crimes. The police had received information indicating that a Mercedes might be carrying wanted individuals. As a result, officers stopped the indicated vehicle for a road inspection on one of the streets of Jelenia Góra. It turned out that two of the four men travelling in the car were wanted.</p>

<p>The police findings showed that the 24-year-old man, who had no permanent address, was wanted under an arrest warrant to serve an eight-month prison sentence for theft. The other man was a 28-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra, wanted to serve a six-month prison sentence for violating a court order. Moreover, during the traffic inspection, it was discovered that the 28-year-old had several portions of marijuana in his pocket.</p>

<p>The men were placed in police custody and the following day were taken to a correctional facility. In addition, the 28-year-old will face charges for drug possession, for which he could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.</p>
