The event had a very rich program prepared by two animators: Gizela Grabowska and Tomasz Chmielewski, who served as chief. The roles of “Indian women” were played by: the village head of Łaziska, Joanna Łucka, and Barbara Pala.

The children prepared Indian soup cooked over a campfire, made Indian T-shirts themselves and painted them, decorated headbands with colorful feathers, made amulets and beaded bracelets, as well as magical dream catchers. The young Indians also prepared flags that they painted themselves, learned an Indian song and how to play simple instruments.

There were also competitions and games involving badminton, football, grass skis, water balloons and archery. The Indian camp was also an opportunity to learn more about the customs of the Indigenous peoples of the Americas.

The organizers made sure that the children had simple meals: fruit, drinks, sausages, potatoes and grilled zucchini.

Late in the evening, the little Indians set out in search of treasure—a chest full of sweets. Fireworks were launched to bid farewell to the attraction-filled first day of the camp.

The morning of the following day began with an Indian gong. After exercising, the children ate breakfast and spent time playing. At the end of the event, they received commemorative certificates. The organizers admit that the children were very well-behaved and engaged in all the activities, and remained in good spirits. They spent almost two days actively, without computers or mobile phones.

This year’s event was the second in succession and a considerable organizational undertaking. All the work was carried out by members of the association and the parents of some of the children attending the camp, as well as: Eugeniusz Miciak (help with putting up and taking down the tents), Romka Michaluk (baked delicious bread for the children), Dorota Wójcik (organized supplies), and Jacek Śliwiński, who donated 100 eggs free of charge.

Medical care was provided thanks to Doctor Duran, who took part in the camp. Fortunately, his intervention proved unnecessary. Stowarzyszenie Nasze Łaziska extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone for their help and involvement.
