With great flair, the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre is organizing the Miss BŚC contest. Eight contestants are preparing intensively under the guidance of Katarzyna Maksymowicz, a Miss Poland finalist in 1999, as well as Maciej Kołodziejski and stylist Paweł Sai from the Hair Salon on Sierpnia ’80 Street. The Miss BŚC contest will take place on Sunday, 24 August, on the stage in front of BOK-MCC.
Agnieszka Weneny, Deniz Mrozik, Monika Wiktor, Maja Letko, Natalia Basta, Patrycja Drozd, Angelika Kostencka, Ewelina Kleszczyńska are rehearsing choreographic routines and their own presentations for the audience. The jury will include, among others, city mayor Piotr Roman and BOK-MCC director Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska.
“We want to select a finalist who will be the face of the Bolesławieckie Święto Ceramiki and the city of Bolesławiec,” says Katarzyna Maksymowicz. “The girls will present themselves in wedding dresses, evening wear and sportswear. They are now learning how to walk and perform the choreography prepared for them. In my opinion, the most important factors in the choice will be feminine charm, expressiveness, ease and confidence.”
The women’s presentations will be interspersed with performances by musical groups. “We want viewers to stay with us and the girls for almost the entire three-hour show,” says the 1999 Miss Poland finalist. “And there will be plenty to watch, because the sponsors will make sure the girls have excellent hairstyles, professional makeup and styling in every respect. We want to put on an impressive event,” adds the former Miss Poland contestant. She admits that even she was not treated with such attention at the national event as the girls will be during the Miss BŚC contest.
All the sponsors, a list of more than a dozen companies, were brought on board by Maciej Kołodziejski, who is passionately and selflessly helping to organize the beauty contest. “I want this to be the most beautiful contest one could imagine,” says the Salon manager involved in the project.
