The incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. The man was sitting on a windowsill on the eighth floor and shouting that he wanted to jump. Firefighters could not deploy the air cushion, among other reasons because of bushes and a windbreak in front of the building. Fortunately, after several minutes, police officers, together with the desperate man’s friend, approached him and pulled him away from the windowsill.

This was not the first such incident that day. Another desperate man was spotted after 4:00 p.m. on the Millennium Cross. He was at the very top of the structure. A police negotiator was called to the scene. After almost four hours, the man was persuaded to climb down.
