The first stage of the renovation of the Pearl of Żeliszów is under way—the former Protestant church has fascinated artists for years, including Patryk Kizny, author of the film “The Chapel”, and Mayu B, a musician from Osiecznica (the music video for the song “Solitude” was filmed in the ruins of the Żeliszów church; the clip was created by Szymon Wasylów).
The main objective of the project is to stabilize the roof structure, repair its most severely damaged section and fully protect it against weather conditions. This stage is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Nevertheless, funds from other sources are still needed—both for the subsequent stages and for ongoing renovation-related expenses. Bolesławiec County and the “Twoje Dziedzictwo” Foundation encourage people to support the restoration of the architectural pearl of Żeliszów.
