At a meeting with the parents of newly admitted high school students, the school principal thanked them for choosing II Liceum Ogólnokształcące. He presented the school’s results in this year’s final exams and introduced the form tutors of the five first-year classes.

“Our school will prepare your children for their final exams as well as possible; this year, our students passed them best,” advertised II LO Mirosław Sakowski. “We offer a wide range of foreign languages: English, German, French, Italian and Russian, as well as an interesting selection of extracurricular activities. There is a drama club, numerous sports activities, Italian-language classes and chess classes. Our students achieve numerous successes in subject competitions, academic contests and sports competitions. In the mathematics-chemistry class, mathematics, physics and chemistry will be taught with elements of English, while the mathematics-physics class will offer architecture and technical drawing classes. We have an Interactive Science Centre, and people with disabilities can use the new lift. Wireless Internet is available throughout the school.

After the principal’s brief speech, the parents and new students toured the school. When asked why they had chosen II LO, they most often replied that it had been their dream, that the school’s programme suited them very well, and that they had heard very positive opinions about the school from their teachers at middle school.
