The film “Marley” is a colourful journey into a world of music, love, joy and unity beyond divisions. Bob Marley created this world during the 36 years of his life and spread it to millions of people on every continent. The king of reggae, known as a Rasta prophet, loved women, football and marijuana, but his greatest love was music. Subsequent generations grow up with his ideas.
Kevin Macdonald’s film is a powerful dose of positive energy and reggae music. The King of Reggae is brought to life by the people closest to him, in deeply personal and often controversial recollections. “Marley” is the first film authorised by Marley’s family to feature previously unpublished archival material.
