Today, human trafficking is associated not only with prostitution but also with the broad concept of illegal employment. Sister Anna presented practical examples of how people can try to protect themselves from exploitation by employers in Poland and abroad. She also raised awareness, particularly among young people, of how to avoid situations connected with the trafficking of “human merchandise” and what to do to obtain help if someone finds themselves in such a situation. The speaker explained to parents how important this social problem is and how to prevent it.

Three hundred people took part in two meetings: students from Bolesławiec schools and adults. The meetings were organised by the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Nicholas in Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre.
