The third day of the city festival was held under the banner of “Kresoviana.” The stage at Priest Popiełuszki Square hosted, among others, students from municipal and county schools, Zielona Góra’s Winne Grona, and the Echo Kresów choir. The stars of Sunday evening were Wrocław’s Hoverla and Nadija from Leszno Górne. The former is a Polish-Ukrainian folk-rock band drawing inspiration from Ukrainian, Polish and Lemko folk music. The group gave a highly energetic concert. There was dancing in front of the stage, as well as a rendition of “Sto lat” for the accordionist Mateusz, who celebrated his birthday two days earlier. The audience’s attention was drawn above all by the vocalist Klaudia—a true volcano of energy.

After the Wrocław performers, the Lemko band Nadija took the stage, playing an explosive blend of rock, folk, funk, ska and reggae, combining the traditions of many Slavic cultures and ethnic minorities. Andrzej Kajfasz and company played both their own songs and covers (“[sic!]” by Heya and “Get Lucky” from the repertoire of Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams).
