On 11 June, the Lower Silesian Talent Gala was held at the Zdrojowy Theatre in Polanica-Zdrój. It was organized by the Lower Silesian Board of Education in Wrocław. One of the 29 finalists from Lower Silesia was a fourth-grade student at the Primary School in Kruszyn – Szymon Chlastawa.

To become a finalist, the student had to pass regional auditions, which were held in Bolesławiec in April 2014. Szymon is primarily interested in music and has been developing his drumming skills from an early age – under the supervision of music instructor at the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Kruszyn, Leszek Krawczewski. During the gala, he demonstrated his drumming talent and performed a medley of pieces titled “World Rhythms for Drums.”

Szymon is discovering his talents and interests. All the teachers at the Primary School in Kruszyn – the School Supporting Gifted Students – help him in this process.
