On Pentecost Sunday (Whitsun), Fr Józef Gołębiowski, parish priest of the parish of Christ the King, sharply commented on the result of the election made by the residents of Bolesławiec.
“Bolesławiec is shabby. Legnica, Jawor, Jelenia Góra—how wisely people voted there. And in Bolesławiec? First, they did not go [to vote]; second, they chose Platforma. Shabby city of Bolesławiec. We have to get out of this city,” Fr Józef Gołębiowski said, summing up the election results. “The Pope once said, in reference to other elections, ‘you did what you wanted.’ You too… did what you wanted,” he told the people attending Mass.
Contrary to what parish priest Gołębiowski claimed during Mass, Platforma Obywatelska won in the cities mentioned. Anyone can check this on the website of the National Electoral Commission.
