The female swimmers preparing for the Polish Summer Championships are in increasingly good form. Iza Tkaczyk, improving her personal best by more than two seconds, comfortably won the 100 m individual medley (1:00.56), which is the ninth-best result in Poland this year. The trainee of coach Krzysztof Wróbel also won the 100 m individual medley (1:09.37).

– I had been swimming better and better in training recently, but I never expected to achieve such a good result. It is clear that everything is moving in the right direction and my form is improving. We now need several training sessions in a 50-metre pool, as that is where the Polish Championships will be held. I am optimistic about my upcoming competitions – says Iza.

Another swimmer coached by him, Agata Knapik, finished first in the 50 m butterfly (31.10 s) and second in the 100 m individual medley (1:12.45). Klaudia Petters finished first in the 100 m backstroke (34.72 s) and third in the 100 m backstroke, Patrycja Faryna finished eighth in the 50 m freestyle (31.92 s), while Julita Węglicka finished eighth in the 50 m butterfly (36.53 s) and ninth in the 100 m individual medley (1:22.88).

Iwan Suschanka also performed excellently. The athlete coached by Wiktor Łodyga finished second in the 50 m freestyle (33.87 s) and the 50 m butterfly (43.26 s). Dawid Lachowski finished eighth in the 100 m freestyle (1:41.65), while Oxpress’s youngest athlete, Aleksander Chlastawa, finished fourteenth in the 50 m breaststroke (1:02.95).

At the same time, the 10- and 11-year-olds’ Swimming All-Around competition was held at the pool in Nowa Ruda, with UKS Oxpress represented by Jadwiga Węglicka. The athlete coached by Wiktor Łodyga performed excellently in the 50 m backstroke (43.16 s), finishing sixth. Jadzia also finished eighth in the very demanding 100 m individual medley (1:33.49), tenth in the 50 m freestyle (37.86 s), and eleventh in the 50 m freestyle.
