Those interested in taking part in the culinary classes are invited to the Community Center in Bolesławice.
Those wishing to join the dance workshops are welcome, respectively, at the Community Center in Kruszyn from 10:00 a.m., the Community Center in Kraśnik Górny from 11:00 a.m., the meeting hall in Ocice from 11:00 a.m., and the meeting hall in Lipiany from 11:00 a.m. Vocal classes will also begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Center in Kruszyn. The second day (Sunday, June 1) will be devoted to concerts, a tasting of Balkan dishes, and other attractions. The invited folk ensembles will present songs and dances originating from Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia. The audience will also have an opportunity to see stylized folk costumes from those regions. During breaks between performances, interviews will be held on the second stage with people who will present the history of their return to Poland, as well as with invited guests.
Throughout the event, visitors will be able to see an exhibition of old family photographs and documents concerning Polish re-emigrants on the sports field. Participants will have the opportunity to use “horse taxis,” which will also serve as a living decorative element of the event. There will be competitions and games for children and adults.
The evening's star will be the band Beograd, a Balkan ensemble creating music at the intersection of electronic music.
The organizers of the 10th Balkan Festa are Gmina Bolesławiec, the Municipal Culture and Sports Center in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, and the Organizing Committee of the village of Bolesławice. We invite you.
