“Not every company in this sector can afford such a large investment,” explains Barbara Kaśnikowska, president of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone. “Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs will be able to rent ready-to-use premises and equip them only with their own machinery and production lines.”

Companies from the SME sector in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone have invested nearly PLN 1.4 billion. Small and medium-sized investors employ approximately 3,500 people in total. The primary benefit for entrepreneurs investing in economic zones is income tax exemption. The maximum level of public aid for medium-sized companies is as high as 45%, while for small and micro-enterprises it is as much as 55%.
