– We are looking for responsible people who want to help and make a real difference in their communities, who can work in a team and organize the work of others – says Rev. Jacek Stryczek, the project’s initiator. – We offer training and skills development, a chance to test yourself in action, and participation in thoughtful assistance.
The Szlachetna Paczka leader builds a team of volunteers and coordinates their work. Together, they try to provide assistance to families living in poverty through no fault of their own. Under the leader’s supervision, volunteers meet with families, survey them and include them in the project. The leader organizes logistical support and, above all, ensures that families in need receive assistance of the highest possible quality.
This is already the 14th edition of a project that brings together several hundred thousand people every year. It is the strength of joint action and a shared goal: to make a real difference in the lives of specific families living in poverty and oblivion in every town.
In 2013 alone, Szlachetna Paczka reached 17,684 families in need, elderly and lonely people, families affected by illness or disability, single parents and large families. – Through our combined efforts, we brought together 617,000 people – say the campaign organizers.
