The local branch of the Polish Red Cross organized a five-hour event on Saturday for children from Bolesławiec County. Eighty children took part in the event; they were either disabled or came from families whose financial situation was not the best.
Fortune-telling activities, contests and music-based entertainment were organized for the children. Each child received a hot meal and a package containing sweets, a pencil case and a stuffed toy.
The event was supported by PFRON, the Municipal Office, Stowarzyszenia Ziemia Bolesławiecka, Ryszard Ruliński, Stanisław Brzozowski, and Lucyna, Sławomir and Marzena Kruk. Instructors from the Youth Cultural Center and nearly fifty volunteers helped organize it. The Occupational Therapy Workshops provided the music, while the Music School made its hall available.
