The “And the Walls Will Fall…” Review recalls the 10th anniversary of the death of Polish poet, bard and composer Jacek Kaczmarski, as well as the 25th anniversary of the elections held on 4 June 1989. Its aim is to commemorate, promote and disseminate the work of Jacek Kaczmarski, as well as to promote patriotic and pro-independence ideas and educate future generations.

The competition section of the review will take place on 2 June at 10:00 at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre. Participants—soloists or vocal ensembles—will be able to perform one Jacek Kaczmarski song in any interpretation.

The performance by the review’s laureates and the award ceremony will take place on 4 June at 10:00 in the Forum hall.

Those interested in the competition are asked to complete the application form and send it by 30 May to artist@bok.boleslawiec.pl or deliver it to the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre at 17 Chopina Street, to the office on the first floor.

The regulations and application form can be downloaded from the website of the review’s organiser, the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre—International Ceramics Centre: www.bok.boleslawiec.pl.

The event is held under the patronage of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
