The Folk House in Kruszyn was packed on Sunday, 27 April. Among the invited guests were, among others, the chairperson of the Municipal Council Bogusław Uziej, commune head Andrzej Dutkowski, his deputy Roman Jaworski, and councillors: Grażyna Łucka and Henryk Borucki.
The “Na Ludową Nutę” concert, organised by the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec with its registered office in Kruszyn, began with a poem and song by poet Wanda Surowiecka, who wrote them in honour of John Paul II. Then the following groups performed on stage: the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Bolesławiec Region, the Żeliszów Vocal Ensemble, the Ocice Vocal Ensemble, Leśne Nastoje from Dobra, and GZPiT Jutrzenka.
There were also some surprises. The older group of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Bolesławiec Region danced a krakowiak to the Korean artist Psy’s major hit “Gangnam Style”, while Jutrzenka performed... “Bałkanica” by the band Piersi.
