On April 29 at 1:00 p.m. a lecture by Professor Stanisław Nicieja, Rector of the University of Opole, devoted to the Eastern Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic, will be held in the Forum cinema auditorium of the Bolesławiec Cultural Center–International Ceramics Center.

The lecture is thematically linked to a project carried out jointly with the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, the result of which will be a publication containing biographies of people from the Eastern Borderlands, as well as to the competitions “Save from Oblivion – Siberians,” aimed at primary school students, and “Save from Oblivion – Borderland Cities,” addressed to middle school students.

The competitions—held under the patronage of the President of Bolesławiec and the Polish Army Museum—are organized by Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 named after Poles Deported to Siberia, in cooperation with the Society of Lwów and Southeastern Borderlands Enthusiasts and the Bolesławiec branch of the Siberians’ Association.
