Project No. 3.22/3.3.01/13.03979 is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and from the state budget with the support of the Nysa Euroregion.
– The implementation of this project continues the cooperation between Kindergarten No. 3 and its Branch and a partner kindergarten from the Czech Republic. It will involve organizing joint training sessions, meetings, competitions and preschool activities to which our partner from the Czech Republic – the Kindergarten in Doksy – will be invited. We also invite Kindergarten No. 6 in Bolesławiec and its Czech partner – the Kindergarten in Jablonné – to cooperate on this project. The project was inaugurated with training for Polish and Czech teachers in W. Sherborne’s Developmental Movement Method, held from 21 to 23 March 2014 in Świeradów-Zdrój – says Ewa Niziałek, director of Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 3 in Bolesławiec.
She adds: – Despite the language barrier, the joint activities enabled direct contact between teachers from Poland and the Czech Republic, allowed them to get to know one another and form friendships, develop teachers’ professional skills through participation in methodological workshops and sharing the skills they acquired, as well as exchange experiences and establish directions for working with children. The skills gained will contribute to a better understanding of our pupils, give them an opportunity to learn about their own bodies, improve their motor skills, develop physical fitness and become more open to others through participation in exercises using the Developmental Movement Method.
During the training, a competition was announced for teachers for the most interesting documentation of activities conducted with children, under the title “This is what we learned at the DMM workshops.” In June 2014, children from Kindergarten No. 3 and its Branch, as well as children from Kindergarten No. 6 in Bolesławiec, will travel to kindergartens in the Czech Republic – to Doksy and Jablonné. There, they will take part in demonstration activities using the Developmental Movement Method and joint movement games.
The project’s ceremonial conclusion will take place in October 2014 during a meeting of children and teachers from Doksy and Jablonné at MPP No. 3 and MPP No. 6 in Bolesławiec. In addition to the children’s participation in DMM demonstration activities, the teachers’ competition will be concluded and the participants will go together to a swimming pool for water games.
